Note that with the exception of system files or files that are in use, Archive Creator will archive just about any file on your Windows hard drive. The discussion of formats supported relates to preview images and the creation of thumbnails and viewing images.

The following images types are generally supported in the creation of thumbnails and viewing images. The amount of support for a specific type can vary in terms of rotation, size, purity of color, or even supporting the complete spec of a specific format at all. Also formats (like Photoshop/PSD) are changing all the time with each version of their software, so support can vary based on the version of software that created the file.

Although we generally support the following formats, there can be no assurance that any specific file will be supported, or that future versions of a format will be supported. To be sure that a specific file format is supported to the level that you require, you should test your specific files using the Archive Creator Evaluation version before you purchase AC.
