A Global Thanksgiving Message

I know it sounds trite, but in these tough times, there is so much to be thankful for. This video is an amazing reminder of the joy of life.

Matt has a great attitude and outlook on life. I really enjoyed his site, and you might want to check it out. Yo Matt.....wherever you are today. Thanks for the smiles!

I have been sick all week and feeling miserable. Am just recovering and found a link to this from a friend when checking my e-mails. After feeling overwhelmed by the 50 work e-mails I now have to get back on top of I finally got around to viewing this 'unimportant' one which I had put to one side until last. It has put everything back in perspective for me and has left me smiling - for the first time this week!! It was the most important e-mail in my inbox!!

You claim that “instant jpeg from raw” is “free”, but I see I have to register and in your smallprint you say “You understand that your name will be placed on the mailing lists of both RawWorkflow.com and Imagenomic, … You can opt-out from our mailings by following the simple opt-out info in any mailing. You must opt-out from each companies data-base separately…”

So if the opt-out on the emails is so easy to do, why do you insist on forcing people on to the email list on the first place? My time is not “free”, and agreeing to be spammed by you just to get something “free” means that there is a cost involved. Therefore your suggestion that “instant jpeg from raw” is “free” is insulting to your readers as it suggests that their time is worth nothing.

Pete,

Thanks for your feedback.

It is free of charge. Meaning no money. If your time is not worth the 'free" application, then simply do not download it. Obviously you value your time such as to send an "insulting" post here, rather than simply fill in the form and get the free app. Most people are generous with their praise both for the application (it is very useful), and for us spelling out what the "strings" are. Seems very fair to me and them. Sorry that it did not work for you.

BTW...
adjective, adverb
costing nothing; not needing to be paid for:
I got some free cinema tickets.
Members all receive a free copy of the monthly newsletter.
The elderly travel free on public transport.
We will install your washing machine free of charge/for free (= without charge).
